the case for a directional dark matter detector

the change you crave is a vector drawn across the time warp
the time that seems wasted is always weft
every moment of yours
exerted asleep distracted consuming lying
in a tangled mass of immeasurable instants
building the great wall one brick at a time
leaving uncredited holes great and small

and there you were at some point
mass energy condemned
accounted adrift beaten
increasingly lucid
calibrating for the weight
of every nothing on the world

Inspired by a comment by @sheseesred on Facebook.

My earworm for 2 days has been a tight-loop from Another World by The Foots
"trying so hard not to change when change is all there is in the end"

Title has been repurposed from here

Oh I love this! Dense, meaningful, mysterious: 'every nothing on the world'. I missed it somehow. I'd love to know more about the inspiration (I am allergic to facebook).

I am glad to hear you like it. The comment was something about finding the time to both change the world and sleep.
